Q: Where can I buy gloves made with Dyneema®?

A: DSM is a fiber manufacturer and not a glove manufacturer - however we do work closely with both end user customers and manufacturers. To buy gloves you can contact ourselves or contact one of our licensed partners direct. Read more

Q: How do I know if gloves contain genuine Dyneema®?

A: The answer is very simple. Look for the Dyneema® diamond. Gloves that bear the Dyneema® diamond are qualified and therefore licensed by DSM. Only our licensees are allowed to use the Dyneema® diamond. Read more

Q: How did the name Dyneema® come about?

A: The name is derived from the Greek translation of strong fiber. Dynamis = strength and Nema = thread. The diamond logo is a symbol of distinction, high value and quality. It also represents transparency and strength, both core values of our company.

Q: What's the difference between EN or ASTM?

A: ASTM is the cut-resistance standard mainly used in North America; while the EN standard is mainly used in Europe. Download an article by DSM recently published in Occupational Health & Safety magazine.

Q: What's the difference between Dyneema® and Kevlar®?

A: Dyneema® is an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (shorten UHMW-PE) fiber, while Kevlar® is an para-aramid synthetic fiber. Both fibers are often referred to as technical fibers, however they have significant differences in processing, content and performances. Click for an overview.
